ok Here we go… finally

I have come to realize a couple of things about myself recently. First, I really really love our Suncoast Family. I mean, I always have, but wow, they are just truly amazing. The second thing I’ve learned is I don’t like to write… at all. This blog idea was all mine, but boy have I neglected it. But, I truly believe I may have conquered this point of procrastination in my life. So as the title said, Here we go… finally.

So much has been going on at Suncoast. Last Sunday’s service was AMAZING. The worship was uplifting and the choir sang like The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. Their song Mercy and Grace was more than powerful. I was overwhelmed by the truth of how much I need God’s mercy and grace everyday. Where would I be without it ? Then, Pastor Tim ( my favorite person in the whole entire world) preached like nobody’s business. What truth we heard about “Worshipping Beside the Waters”. That would be a great CD to pick up if you missed it.

It was not a mistake that the day after that sermon that our very dear Gordon went to be with the Lord. Now there was and is a worshipper. I was always amazed at how he would sing in the choir while sitting from his wheelchair. Though we miss him here on earth I KNOW he is standing, knelling, probably dancing around the throne of his savior, singing with all his might.

I am looking forward to this Sunday just as much. We will be highlighting our youth and children’s ministries and accepting new members into the church. Now that will be a cool day. Then we get to top it all off with a great time of fellowship together as we have our yearly indoor Independence Picnic. AND, because it is casual Sunday, I get to wear JEANS. I may even throw out all caution and wear flip flops too. Gotta admit, this pastor’s wife loves going casual.

Our kids just got back from kids’ camp. Three of the 50 that went were mine. It made for one quiet week at the Suddreth house. I have so enjoyed hearing my children talk about all the Christ did in their lives that week. My youngest(he’s 7) received his prayer lanquage and my oldest confirmed God’s calling on his life. My Lydia went deeper into what I see as a ministry of intercession in her life. I said all that to say I look forward to hearing more this Sunday from what God did in all the kids that went. I’ve had several of the church kids tell me it was the most life changing week they’ve ever known.

Well, I’ll close for now. I have a wedding to get ready for tonight. It is for a sweet couple in our church that I have had the privelege of watching grow up over the past 11 years. This young couple are such a great example of what kind of relationship you can have when you put Christ first. My Lydia has told me several times she wants to do it (dating/courting) like Jason and Stephanie has. It makes a mom so thankful for a church where her kids can see Christ example lived out in others for them to follow.
I know our church isn’t perfect, that’s what Heaven is for, but I do know it is filled with love and people with a desire to become more like Christ everyday.

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE
